TeXML: Cameron is this you?

Tech Add comments

I was reading TeXML: an XML vocabulary for TeX and I had a flashback to Cameron’s blogs from last month:

Byte Code as XML

Byte code as XML got too big

XML Processing got too expensive

I don’t know about you, but I think:

<cmd name=”documentclass”>
<opt>12pt</opt>
<parm>letter</parm>
</cmd>

looks a lot more verbose than the “raw” TeX:

\documentclass[12pt]{letter}

Maybe it is just me.
