England win Ashes for first time in 18 years!

Sport Add comments

I have been watching the Ashes all summer. It has been a fantastic spectacle, and will push forward cricket for sure.

We had our fair share of luck (winning 4 of the 5 tosses), but the lads fought very hard and deserved to win.

Well played both teams.

Yes, well played England. The series has generated such a great interest in the cricket-playing countries. Here in India we had many intense discussions on it. I am glad for the England side, the fans, and cricket. Its great to watch a young side come through (although it hurts to think that Warne wont be around for long).

(Of course, I am hoping that they dont keep the same form when they tour India) ;)

Bah, humbug. I stayed up until 4am for nothing! :)

Well, I agree that it has been an enthralling series. But as an Aussie, there’s only one thing I can say: Bugger!

This is great!!. I had lost all hopes of England even thinking of winning the ashes. This is a big jolt to the Aussies. I still cant forget the way aussies beat us(india) in world cup finals. But I am pretty sure, the aussies will bounce back. Thats what they are known for. But right now, its Englands moment!! Great job guys!!
