I couldn’t understand why Sven took off Scholes – he should have played him in Rooney’s position, deep just off Owen, then either put Hargreaves on the left or Gerrard there with Neville in the middle. Then we’d have kept a strong midfield, kept our shape & had a powerful world class attack.

Instead we ended up with 2 small & nippy guys up front & then just sat back & hoofed it up front (which given their small size was never gonna work). Sigh.

Still that 2nd Lampard goal was great – we all ended up soaked with beer and left with very hoarse voices after that.

I hate penalties…
