And that's enough bashing Python already. If you've listened to any of Guido's talks you'd know this is fairly easy to pronounce: "if under-under name equals under-under main" Granted, it's not quite as clear as your rewrite, but Python is very readable in general--much more than most languages. On the other hand, I'd hate to try to pronounce some Ruby or Perl that I've seen. In any case it would be quite inappropriate for most settings as it would be filled with four-letter words ... $hit =~ /^m3_@s$/ # FTW!!
