Mozilla has hit the nail on the head. I get so much commercial stuff that I'm vaguely to moderately interested in that unless I set up filters ahead of time, personal messages risk getting buried in my main email box. And with each service (Twitter, FaceBook, FourSquare, Yelp, etc.) messages about updates I post or that others post in response proliferate. It's a mess.
