Not a bad idea (just using one set).

Some of my family members baren’t have a modem let alone a Yahoo! ID :)

I think you can just give a guest pass for a set and just put all your photos in that set and it will work retroactively. That will at least make it easier. But really, who doesn’t have a Yahoo login??? :)

Flickr mixing up photos is definitely an issue. Both for professionals and for casual uses who do not like to get ball sack instead of rail track

The only upsides? It seemed to be only a Flickr Pool issue and they apparently fixed it already.

A recent feature added to Flickr is guest passes.

You can put your photos in a set and then generate a guest pass (”unguessable” URL) that you can send to family members.

Not a superb solution, but a workable alternative.
