I am, I'm Karlos from pamplona of a company that we dedicate ourselves to developments with Drupal.

Since that appeared gears saw the potential that had this technology.

When I saw that Wordpress integrated Gears serious we finish our module for drupal

That is why we have released an early version of a module that integrates with drupal google gears. It is a beta version and missing elements to be stable but we can make use of it.

Project leader in drupal:

In fact, I will be most excited when I don’t see any such linkage, and the applications are just better.

I noticed that with the 2.6-beta1 release today that my Gears-WordPress link suddenly had to update most of it's cache. One thing I found extremely interesting was that if I clicked the "Speed up" link, it showed me that it was X files into the process. If I closed that link and re-opened it, it was deeper into the process. Nice background updating work there.

So I do foresee a time where the Speed Up! link goes away and there's a simple option somewhere to "Enable Gears support" (probably on a per-user basis) instead. Why? Because the speed up link isn't actually needed or anything, it's just to promote the new thing...

This sounds great but am I missing something or does Gears still not run on Firefox 3? I understand that FF3 has some kind of offline API built-in but it's not compatible with the Gears API is it?
