HTML4 has support for <input type="file" accept="audio/*"> which would enable you to record your own audio and submit it back with the form. I think this is being expanded in HTML5 to give you more control over the file. There is similar support for cameras using accept="image/*" coming soon in Firefox, see the blog post at http://blog.mozilla.com/blassey/2008/09/23/camera-input-tag/ Isn’t this already in the Open Web (though not implemented yet)?
